The life of a would be Submissive

submission image

A few years back I was invited to Tagged by a friend.  It’s actually a dating site, but I was not aware of this! I went on to Tagged to play a popular game called Pets.  Pets are where people buy each other.  The Pet values increases each time they are bought; they have assets, cash and their own value.  The whole idea is to get Tagged Ranked, to because the highest ranked player in the world.  One can buy gold to increase cash and assets.  One can have online conversations and meet many people all over the world.  Tagged as a following over a million people.  Hi5 is the same as tagged.  One can keep in touch with people on tagged by using Hi5.

Every story has a starting point; I will start here with my story.......

I met a lot of people on Tagged, several people made an impression on me, especially this one man, he will be known as Mister Dom, giving him this name will become clearer as my story unfolds.  He seems to really care for me and showed an interest in my wellbeing.  I never took it that his interest in me had anything romantic in it.  We talked a lot on tagged and played the Pets game together, and later we started to have conversations on WhatsApp.  I really like Mister Dom very much, he was very easy to talk to, and I enjoyed all my conversations with him.

Mister Dom is divorced; he is a father of two.  He is estranged from his children.  Mister Don loves his children with all his heart and soul.  Due to the divorce, it made a rift between his children and himself. Mister Dom is a very intelligent man, he has a heart of gold, and he possesses everything women could ever want in a man.

I am a single mother of two children.  Growing up has not been very easy for me.  I had learning difficulties and as a result I stopped talking, I was a child that never enjoy the company of other kids and other people. I found from a very early age how hurtful people could actually be.  As a result I ended up carrying a lot of unnecessary baggage.

Here is where the story really starts.
"You are a victim of your past" types Mister Dom
"Victim?" I reply back
"Yes, you can't move past from things of the past, they over shadow your daily life, you cannot be a survivor, if you never deal with the past"
"By dealing with issue with the past and come to terms with them, you will become better equipped to deal with the future. You will become the survivor"
I was very angry with Mister Dom for saying that, I was a fighter how he could call me a victim.  What Mister Dom said to me never properly registered for a while.
I was in a relationship with a Pakistani at that time, the relationship was not going smoothly, and he had let me down when my Mother passed on.  The Pakistani ended our relationship on the day my mother died.  It felt that I had suffered the death of two people I loved the most.

Mister Don knew that I was in a relationship with this Pakistani and his comments were to me "you are his submissive, you are his slave, and he is your master".  Till that day I had never heard of submissive (sub), master, slaves or dons for that matter.  For me, to please the person that I am in a relationship, I never have a second thought about it.

bdsm, domination, and Lyrics imageThis falls under BDMS, the master who is the Dom and the slave the submissive or the sub.  The sub will obey her Dom at all times, when she does not obey her Dom will punish her.  Sex toys are used for mutual pleasure; there are a whole lot of devices that are used in this play acting.  It’s consensual, by both parties.  A safe word is used because some off the things did by the don can be very painful, though the whole objective is to bring pleasure to both parties.  The sub can end it and it anytime by using this save word.

Through texting on WhatsApp, Mister Dom became my Dom.  Mister Dom is a healer of women, he makes them feel that they are women again and he helps them get the tools, not to be a victim but a survivor. Everything the Mister Dom said I must do, I must obey him.  Mr Dom's objectives in my case was to make me feel that I was a woman again, to take pride in my own body, taking to wearing dresses again, not only playing the women role but looking like a women also.

To be truthful I was a terrible sub, I was not very obedient and I did not really understand his approach to things. I thought at first what he was asking of me was not very nice. (That what I thought)  I kind of resented his requests and that I had to obey them.  I was not ready at this point to let go of being a victim and become the survivor.  For a while I did not hear from Mister Dom, and then i started hearing from him again.  By that time I had a better understanding of who i was, and that the past was hurting me very much.  I learned so much about myself, I know one can love others even if one does not love me, but it’s not ideal.  I learned to forgive my parents and essentially myself.

One can hardly call it a proper Dom/sub relationship as its long distance.  I have loved him for a very long time, love? How can one love someone whom they have not met?  Well, because there is no physical side to this relationship we have to rely on talking more.  I love him for who he is, I can't say that this love with grow if I ever met him one day.  I want to be with him, really I do, but there are other things to take into consideration.  He wants someone right now, he does not want to wait and take time to see where a relationship would lead too.  His needs now are for a full time relationship now. He is recently out of a relationship and I don't even know if he loved this person.  He says that he has very deep feelings for her.

I really can't tell you much happens in a Dom/sub relationship.  I could tell you what happens in 50 Shades of Grey, but besides that I can't tell you, not from personal experience.

I saw /u/VeryIntelligent post about being a master, so I figured I'd make a post about being a slave.
I'm 24 years old and live with my master/boyfriend, who is 30. Our relationship isn't 24/7, as I usually have 1-2 days off in a week. Although he's more in control of which/how many days I have off, so there's that. We've been together for 3 years, and 2 of those I've been his slave as well. This was my first experience with anything like this, and found I really loved it from the start. My master has much more experience than me in this regard. He has 2 other slaves, one male and one female, who he meets generally once a week, maybe 2 tops. Sometimes he involves me with his other slaves, but it's not as common.
Ask me anything!

Just So Stories

Just so Stories

Just so stories written by Rudyard Kipling
Beautiful stories, that held me spellbound as a kid.  Stories I had fond memories of, even now. Kipling knew how to hold his audience with his writing for children.  Kipling told these stories to his children.  He wrote them down at the Just so Stories were published in 1902.  Just three years after the tragic death of his daughter.

He uses invented words, he writes in an amusing grand style.  Each story includes a short poem.  The first edition used Kipling's own illustrations.

They are written in an amusing grand style, peppered with long, and delightfully unlikely, invented words - a comical exaggeration perhaps of the formal ways of speaking Kipling heard in India. Each story includes a short poem, and the first edition features Kipling’s own illustrations.

Rudyard Kipling

Rudyard Kipling is a well know Victorian poet and story teller.  His political views did not help his career

"His unrelenting craftsmanship, his determination to be 'master of the bricks and mortar of his trade,' compels respect, and his genius as a storyteller, and especially as a teller of stories for children," writes William Blackburn in Writers for Children, "will surely prove stronger than the murky and sordid vicissitudes of politics." "Although Kipling's overall career still awaits judicious critical re-evaluation," Blackburn concludes, "the general public—and especially the young public—has long since rendered its own verdict. His status as a writer for children is rightfully secure, and none of his major works has yet gone out of print."

Time line for Kipling

How the Just so Stories came into being
The Just So Stories began as bedtime stories told to ‘Effie’ [Josephine, Kipling's firstborn]; when the first three were published in a children’s magazine, a year before her death, Kipling explained: ″...in the evening there were stories meant to put Effie to sleep, and you were not allowed to alter those by one single little word. They had to be told just so; or Effie would wake up and put back the missing sentence. The Just So Stories where published in 1902, three years after the tragic death of his daughter.  Josephine died of pneumonia in 1899 at the age
of 6.

The Just So Stories have animals that are changed from an original form to its now current from by the acts or man, or by some magical being.  For example, the Whale has a tiny throat because he swallowed a mariner, who tied a raft inside to block the whale from swallowing other men.

List of Stores in the Just So Stories
How the Whale Got His Throat — why the larger whales eat only small prey.
How the Camel Got His Hump — how the idle camel was punished and given a hump.
How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin — why rhinos have folds in their skin and bad tempers.
How the Leopard Got His Spots — why leopards have spots.
The Elephant's Child/How the Elephant got his Trunk — how the elephant's trunk became long.

Explains how Taffimai delivered a picture message to her mother.
How the Alphabet Was Made — Taffimai and her father invent an alphabet.
The Crab That Played with the Sea — explains the ebb and flow of the ties, as well as how the crab changed from a huge animal into a small one.
The Cat That Walked by Himself — the longest story, explains how man domesticated all the wild animals except the cat, which insisted on greater independence.
The Butterfly That Stamped — how Solomon saved the pride of a butterfly, and the Queen of Sheba used this to prevent his wives scolding him.
The Tabu Tale (missing from most British editions; first appeared in the Scribner edition in the U.S. in 1903).

Old Family Traditional Values

Family break downs are happening more and more often.  There are many reasons for this. People just don't have the time for old family traditional values anymore.  The "traditional family" involves the father as a breadwinner and the mother as the homemaker, raising their children together.  Both parents go to work these days, in order to make things meet.  More emphases are placed on materialistic things these days.  Children are getting spoiled these days with expensive presents.  Materialistic things are not essential to have a loving and happy home. Why must children have the latest and most expensive toys and electronic devices out there? Why must the husband drive the latest car and the woman have the modern kitchen, with all fancy gadgets?  Why must the husband and wife have everything when they start on a home of their own?. Where is the excitement in building one's home up as the years go by?

Image result for a man's home is his castle

Surely if the family did without, then it would be possible for the mother to stay at home, and be a homemaker and a mother that is available to her children?  The wife that would be available to her husband when he comes home.  Ready with the cooked meal, the slippers and the newspaper, lol.

Each member of the family has their own choirs to do.  Washing dishes, taking out the washing, loading the washing machine, hanging up the washing.  Setting the dinner table, clearing the table after each meal.

Some would say, this would happen if this would be an ideal world, and this does not happen anymore, but I know it can happened, it has happened in the past, with our grandparents. There was no such thing as running to get a divorce when things started to get unpleasant.

It's not easy

Meaning of Family
'Family' is a single word, with many different meanings. People have many ways of defining a family and what being a part of a family means to them. Families differ in terms of economic, cultural, social, and many other facets, but what every family has in common is that the people who call it a family are making clear that those people are important in some way to the person calling them his family.

Value is defined as the quality or worth of a thing.  To combine the words together yields a definition of:  a traditional set of social standards defined by the family and a history of customs that provide the emotional and physical basis for raising a family.   Our social values are often times reinforced by our spiritual or religious beliefs and traditions.  Do you have traditional family values?  How do you determine your family values?

Schedule a Family Play Night
The values a family develops are traditionally the foundation for how children learn, grow and function in the world.
Family values are ideas passed down from generation to generation.  It's how we would like to live our family life.  Three basic tasks in life are work, play and love.  Often neglected is play and love, as we get caught up in work and in our career goals, materialistic things and financial rewards.  We need a balance in our lives, where play and our loving relationships take priority. If we don't our lives becomes stressful and unsatisfying.  Family should always come first, but most find very little time or energy left to spend quality time with their families.

definition of family

What does family time mean to you?
The mean of family to each member of the family will be different.  Thoughts and feelings should be shared.  Family always should know what is happening to other family members all the time.

Traditional family values that fall under the “love task” include all our relationships.
How you regard your commitments to marriage, what role religion/spirituality plays in the family. How emotionally available you are to others, sharing responsibility and the common interest shared by your spouse and family, shared activities and hobbies, how family time is spent, how family decisions are made, common beliefs shared by you and your spouse regarding spirituality and religion, how family traditions are established. Often time assumptions are made about what another family member believes or values.  Misunderstandings and miscommunication can happen because of these assumptions.

Quality time for family, when a family does things together.  Time just set aside for the immediate family.  This is recreation, relaxation and alone time.  A time to let our bodies to unwind and calm down. Each member has their choirs.

What do you value in terms of your play?  Without a period of time to allow our bodies to unwind and calm down, the rest of our day gets out of balance.   How does your family incorporate these activities into life?  Are there things you and your family do to incorporate play and alone time into your lives?

Traditional family values usually include such topics such as religion, marriage, communication, traditions, morals, holidays, interactions with relatives and how time is spent together.
To identify what your values are and the values of your family, it is helpful to get a clearer picture of what that actually means. Having family discussions would help identify what values are important to each member of the family.  Installing values, when values of family members are not up to scratch.

*Family values are the foundation for how children grow, are taught and supported.
staying together quotes | ... "Try"als: Families That Eat Together, Stay Together - Gift Set: Traditional family values are usually passed on from one generation to the next, giving children the structure and boundaries in which to function and thrive.  Family time, love, play and work give children this foundation.  Take the time to share your family values and traditions with your children.  Share meals together where the family gets together to talk about the day, schedule recreation and relaxation into your day-to-day life.  The definition of family values is the social standards defined by the family and a history of traditions that provide the emotional and physical basis for raising a family.  Work together within your family to identify and                                                                                               create your own family values.

believe in traditional family values

It is my obligation as a family member

To do everything in my power
To keep aging or disabled family members
From having to live or die in nursing homes

This was passed down to me

As a child
Through the example of my great-uncle Lindy
Who moved in with my great-grandma?
To keep her out of a nursing home
As long as he could
Even as she broke her hips multiple times
And became frail and bedridden
She stayed at home as long as she could
Because of our family values

Because of our traditional family values

I was able to visit her every year
In her tiny little house
Smaller than some of my apartments
But filled with love and kindness
Because she was a hard-core Hufflepuff
And she and her house
Had a long time
To become part of each other

What, you were expecting something different?

Then either you’ve grown too used to hearing
Right-wing propaganda disguised as tradition
Or you don’t know how many valuable traditions
A family can have

I am very traditional in my own way

Even if you can’t see it
And it is traditions like this
That is at the core of my value system
Traditions that come from love
Not from unthinking obedience to hate

So next time you hear the words

Traditional family values
Think hard
About your family’s best traditions
The ones that come from love
You might not have any
But you might
And you might be surprised what they are

And if you can find any such traditions

Then do all you can to take back the meaning
Of traditional family values
To apply to the love your family has taught you
Passed down through the generations
That’s what tradition, in its best sense, means

Happily Ever After - Walt Disney and the stories he used for his movies

I loved the stories written by Hans Christian Andersen, he had the ability to see through the eyes of a child.  Every night my mother would read one of his stories.  For me it was a time that life was not so complicated, not so hostel.  Not all his stories have a happy end, but each of his stories teaches us something about life.

The endings are different, Hans Christian Andersen and Walt Disney differ.

Walt Disney is known for making happy endings.  This is just one of many stories that Walt Disney has given a happy ending to it!

Hans Christian Andersen - about the author
Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875), Danish author and poet, wrote many poems, plays, stories and travel essays, but is best known for his fairy tales of which there are over one hundred and fifty, published in numerous collections during his life and many still in print today.

His first collection of Fairy Tales, Told for Children was published in 1835. He broke new ground for Danish literature with his style and use of idiom, irony and humour, memorable characters and un-didactic moral teaching inspired by the primitive folk tales he had learned as a child. Though they do not all end happily his Fairy Tales resound with an authenticity that only unabashed sincerity can produce from a man who could still see through a child’s eyes;

Andersen’s fairy tales of fantasy with moral lessons are popular with children and adults all over the world, and they also contain autobiographical details of the man himself. Born on 2 April, 1805 in Odense, on the Danish island of Funen, Denmark, he was the only son of washerwoman Anna Maria Andersdatter (d.1833) and shoemaker Hans Andersen (d.1816). They were very poor, but Hans took his son to the local playhouse and nurtured his creative side by making him his own toys. Young Hans grew to be tall and lanky, awkward and effeminate, but he loved to sing and dance, and he had a vivid imagination that would soon find its voice.

After the death of his father, Andersen travelled to Copenhagen to pursue an acting career at the Royal Theatre. Under the patronage of the Theatre’s Jonas Collins, he attended the Copenhagen University which were formative but difficult years for him. Coming from a humble provincial background he had to adjust to bourgeois life in the capital city and competitive realm of the theatre. Collins’ daughter Louise and son Edward were soon the objects of his affection. Andersen turned his pen to writing poems, plays and stories, his first poem “The Dying Child” published in the Copenhagen Post in 1827.

The Improvisatore (1835) received international acclaim for Andersen, published by the University, and with this encouragement he set off on his literary career.  Now that Andersen had achieved success by his pen he was not without his critics.  He stayed with friend Charles Dickens in London for a time.  He received the Knighthood of the Red Eagle from King Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Prussia in 1846, and the Maximilian Order of Art and Science from King Maximilian II of Bavaria in 1859. He was made an Honorary Citizen of Odense in 1867.

After suffering from liver cancer and in the care of his friends the Melchiors, Hans Christian Andersen died at their home on 4 August, 1875 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He lies buried in the Assistens Cemetery in the same city.

“First, you undergo such a terrible amount of suffering, and then you become famous.” —from The Fairy Tale of My Life (1855).

The Little Mermaid - The Little Mermaid was written by Hans Christian Andersen and made into a film by Walt Disney.
The Hans Christian Andersen -  The Little Mermaid
lm1On her 15th birthday, a mermaid is allowed to swim to the surface and look at the world above. On her 15th birthday she goes to the surface, and there she sees a ship, she approaches the ship, listening to the music, she spots a very handsome man,the prince. She falls in love with him. A great storm knocks over the prince ship. The mermaid swam with all her might and rescued the Prince from drowning. She took him ashore and petted his head gently until she heard someone coming near. The Prince was found and taken back to his castle, but it saddened the Mermaid that he would never know what she did for him. The Mermaid returned to her home and told her sisters about what happened. The sisters knew about the prince and his kingdom and took their little sister to show her the prince’s home. After that, The Little Mermaid would always dream about life in the Human world.

The mermaid asks her grandmother if Mermaids could ever have souls, and she responds, telling her granddaughter that only if she were to marry a human who loved her more so than his own parents and family, that a part of his soul would enter her and she would have a soul of her own. It’s important to note that the Mermaid not only wants to be with the prince, but would gladly give up her extended life to have a soul.

One night, when the underwater kingdom is having a ball, The Little Mermaid decides to go to the Sea Witch, hoping for a way to become human. The sea witch tells her that she is foolish, and that it would only end in heartbreak for her, but the mermaid persists. The sea witch tells her that in exchange for her ability to speak, she could be human. However, every step she takes will feel like a knife through her legs, and if the prince does not marry her, then the morning after his wedding, the Mermaid would die and become sea foam. The mermaid agrees and the Sea Witch takes a knife and cuts the Mermaid’s tongue out.

The Prince finds the Mermaid and takes her back to his castle where she is dressed richly. The prince loved the mermaid, but he loved her as he would a little child. He told her that she was dear to him, but that he was in love with the temple maiden that had found him on the beach after the ship wreckage. He had only seen her twice, but he told the Mermaid that she had almost driven the temple maiden from his mind. The Mermaid is happy, thinking that she is close to winning over the prince’s heart, but then the unexpected happens.

The prince and Mermaid sail away to another kingdom after his parents forced him to meet its princess. On their way there, he tells the mermaid that his parents cannot force him to marry the princess, and that he would rather marry the mermaid who has been so loyal to him. The mermaid grows happier but when they arrive at the town, her world – and heart – is shattered. The princess is the same girl from the temple that found him on the beach, and the prince had finally found the girl that had rescued him. Even the mermaid acknowledges that she is the most beautiful thing she had ever laid eyes on.

The prince married the princess.

That night, on the prince’s ship, the little mermaid waited for the sun to rise and for her imminent death. It was then that she saw her sister's surface from the ocean depths with all of their beautiful hair cut short. They gave her a dagger, saying they all sacrificed their hair to the sea witch in exchange for a way to save their sister’s life. The Little Mermaid would have to plunge it into the heart of prince and let his blood drip over her feet, then, she would turn back into a mermaid and would be able to live out the rest of her life.
Here is the difference between the original and Walt Disney film
The mermaid has no name and Hans Christian Andersen shows her as a young girl of 15. The mermaid is quiet and reserved. She is sad even after meeting the prince and falling in love with him.  The mermaid does not have a strong character but she does not choose to kill the prince at the end, she shows a remarkable strength. There is no happy ending for the mermaid.  The mermaid endures extreme pain in order to walk.  Her tongue was remove and she could no longer sing. After the mermaid could not kill the prince, she throws the dagger overboard, and as the sun starts to rise, she throws herself into the ocean, her body turning into foam. Something really strange happens, and she rises into the sky.  She is now an ethereal being. There are other ethereal beings and they explain to her, she had become a daughter of the air and is rewarded with a soul, after her struggle to become human. She is given entry into the Kingdom of God. However, for every good child that they encounter, one year is taken off of their service, and for every bad child, one year is added on.

The sea witch, she doesn’t have an ulterior motive. She even advises the mermaid not to pursue the prince.

The Walt Disney version
Arial has a strong character and fights hard to get what she wants in life.  Arial is the youngest of King Triton's daughters.  Arial falls in love with the prince.  Ariel concentrates more on being human.  For Arial there is a happy ending.  Eric realizes he had been tricked and rescues Ariel
from the evil witch, Ursula.  Ariel dreams do come true and becomes human and marries the prince.

The sea witch, Ursula, Walt Disney version makes the film a lot darker.  This is so unlike Walt Disney.

In the Disney version, Ariel was obsessed with the human world way before she ever met Eric, and in the story, one of her main motivations was her desire to obtain a soul and live on in heaven after she died.

What I love about Hans Christian Anderson story, the Little Mermaid was willing to give up her life for the man she truly loved, this can only be because she really loved him.  She was rewarded in the end ..........

a poem by William John Palmer, Canada

When you really love someone...you will fight for them to the end

And you have to make it work; no matter how far you have to bend

You are going to have to hold on tight and never, never let them go
And if you are not willing to do just that; then the love will not grow

If you start to play games with the other persons heart and emotions
You will end up losing their love for you...when all is set into motion

When it comes to true love; listen to the sages and take their advice
Never take someone’s love for granted...for true love takes sacrifice

Have you ever wondered where SeaWorld gets their killer whales from?

Orca pod at sunset near the NW coast... <3. would love to see them in person in the ocean and not in a tank!:

I was watching a documentary on killer whales at SeaWorld, some of the things that they showed was so heart breaking. These animals are only kept in captivity to make money for their owners.  People pay money to go watch killer whales at SeaWorld, do these people know how these animals suffer?  These animals are not meant to be in captivity, they meant to be free.  They are very social animals and very family orientated. They grieve for their losses just like humans do, as they watch family members and their babies being captured, they look on helpless  as they hear the cries of their babies and family members. They not only capture for use in SeaWorld, there is a lot of senseless killing as well. My heart broke, how can we just sit back and watch?  You can see these animals in their natural environment  go on booked tours, marvel at these amazing creatures.  Please think before you support places like SeaWorld, the cost and pain to these animals that are kept in captivity for our amusement.
The orca, or "killer whale" (Orcinus orca) is a toothed whale and is the largest member of the dolphin family. It is highly social and composed of matrilineal family groups. Orcas have long, rounded bodies with large dorsal fins at the middle of their backs. Their black bodies are marked with white patches on the underside and near the eyes.

Orcas feed on fish, squid, birds, and marine mammals. Like dolphins, orcas use echolocation - bouncing sound off of objects to determine their location - to hunt and use a series of high-pitched clicks to stun prey.

Members of orca pods very often work together to catch a meal. Pod members sometimes will force many fish into one area and then take turns feeding or will beach (slide out of the water onto the shore) themselves to scare seals or penguins into the water, where other killer whales are waiting to feed.

Official worldwide populations of orcas are currently unknown, but likely not to be less than 50,000 individuals.

Found in all oceans of the world, orcas are most common in the Arctic and Antarctic and are often spotted off the west coast of the United States and Canada. Orcas are found in both coastal waters and open ocean.

Orcas are highly social animals that travel in groups called pods. Pods usually consist of 5 - 30 whales, although some pods may combine to form a group of 100 or more. Orcas establish social hierarchies, and pods are lead by females. The animals are thought to have a complex form of communication with different dialects (slightly different language) from one pod to another

Orca gestation is 13 to 16 months. A calf is born in autumn weighing almost 400 pounds and measuring up to seven feet in length. A calf will remain with its mother for at least two years

In 1970, more than 90 orcas were stalked and herded into a three-acre net by deafening explosives, speedboats and airplanes at Puget Sound, a deep inlet of the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Washington. Alongside the hired captors was Terry Newby, a young marine mammal researcher (in the red and blue sweater). Images taken by Dr. Newby himself tell the story of the horrific captures that led to a lifetime of confinement and exploitation of orcas in marine parks and aquariums around the world. Confined and desperate, the orcas futilely searched for a way out. Their frantic cries reverberated over the cove and were heard for miles. The squeals, clicks and shrills were so disturbing and deafening that Dr. Newby says that he can still hear their screams today.

Panicked and stressed, the orcas lifted themselves high, hoping to be rescued by their family members outside the nets.

When an older male was present, the captured orcas cried out to him for help, but being in the same predicament, he was unable to do anything.
There was no way out.

Young calves were torn from their mothers inside the pens using speedboats and nets. The helpless mothers could do nothing but watch their children be taken away. They would never see them again.
What happens next is shocking.

Seven frightened young orcas, fighting with everything they had, were pulled closer and
forced into slings.

They never stood a chance in their last attempt to escape and were lifted out of their ocean homes, never to return.
Orca capture 6

Lolita, one of seven captured orcas, takes a final glimpse at her home and family before she is ripped from the ocean. She is the only living orca from the captures and has spent more than 40 years confined at the Miami Seaquarium.  Goodbye to the life she knew.

The boats delivered the orcas to a dock opposite of Captain Whibey Inn on the north side of Penn Cove. From there they were loaded onto flat bed trucks to be transported to the Seattle Aquarium. Little did they know their suffering had just begun. They were on their way to marine parks around the world, including SeaWorld, to perform and die in tiny cement pools.

The Aftermath
Captures

In Puget Sound between 1970 and 1971 ten orcas were captured from their ocean homes. Half of those were sent to SeaWorld. Some only survived a few months; all died prematurely with the exception of Lolita who still lives at the Miami Seaquarium. During the 15 years of capture in Washington and British Columbia:
275 to 307 whales were caught
55 were transferred to aquariums
12 or 13 died during capture operations

The People Have Spoken
In 1976, Washington State sued SeaWorld for violating its permits during the violent captures, and the court ruled in favor of outraged citizens and Dr. Newby, who testified against the capturing of orcas in Puget Sound. SeaWorld was included by name in the court’s decision prohibiting orcas from being forcibly removed from their rightful ocean home.

Endangered Orcas
Orcas belonging to the Southern Resident orca population in the Pacific Northwest have been classified as endangered and Dr. Newby believes that the mercenary and merciless captures of orcas in Puget Sound contributed to the problem. The National Marine Fisheries Service, in an official report, concurred:

“The capture of killer whales for public display during the 1970s likely depressed their population size and altered the population characteristics sufficiently to severely affect their reproduction and persistence.”

Do Not Support SeaWorld or the miami seaquarium

SeaWorld’s history of confining and exploiting orcas is appalling, including premature orca deaths, avoidable orca injuries, and the death of a trainer. Honor all the orcas torn from their home in the 1970 and 1971 captures and forced to perform at SeaWorld and the other 28 orcas confined today at SeaWorld in Orlando, San Diego, and San Antonio and at Loro Parque in Tenerife Spain. Never go to SeaWorld. Ask SeaWorld to immediately set in place a firm and rapid plan to release the animals to protected sea pens that would allow them greater freedom of movement; the ability to see, sense, and communicate with their wild cousins and other ocean animals, feel the tides and waves; and engage in the behaviors that they’ve long been denied.

Fathers and their Daughters

Daddy's girl:
Father influences their daughters in a huge way, whither its positive or negatively. The way a father treats his daughter will affect her in many ways, how she sees herself and what sort of man she will later choice in life.  Daughters need their fathers while growing up, fathers should be aware on how much their daughters need a participating father in their lives.

Father & Daughter Quotes: The most important thing a daughter needs from her father is his constant presence and reassurance. Daughters need to know that they can always depend on their fathers and that their fathers will always be around for them.  Daughters will have a lot of difficulties going through adolescence and it’s very important that she knows, whatever happens, she has a father that will be there to support her, love her, no matter what!!

Daughters need unconditional love.  Love that covers multitude of mistakes and sin. Daughter need to know that we would give our lives up for them. We have two ways we express our love, one is telling them and the other is by our actions.  It’s so very important to tell your daughter that you love them, all the time.  It's the most important thing for a daughter to know that her mother and father are always there and will always make sacrifices for her.  Daughter's that grow up with a hunger for male love (their fathers love) with be like a ship without a ruder, a ship without an anchor.  Daughters will make many mistakes searching for that love that their fathers never gave them.
Fathers encouragement and approval help the daughter develop confidence and a feeling of adequacy. Females judge each other on appearance, so when a father encourages his daughter to partake in various activities, she has something that provides her with self-esteem, other than her physical appearance. Also, she is less likely to depend upon a male’s sexual desire for her as the determining factor for her esteem and self-image. Fathers who encourage their daughters give them a huge step up in life. Without that encouragement, too many women go through life with feelings of worthlessness and despair.

http://www.goodmorningquote.com/father-daughter-quotes-images/:
People will influence your daughter but not as much as you will, because after all you are her Dad.

Family rules and how you implement do this is very important to your daughter.  Protecting and teaching her about things in life, does not take a degree in psychology.

You have the most influence in their daughter's life.  Your daughter life will be shaped by you.

Your daughter gives you that power of authority that she gives no other man.  Your Daughter will become alienated from you, if she loses her respect for you.  If you are not around and fail to protect and provide for her, she will look for someone else to take the fathers place.

 :
Your authority over your daughter is what will bring you two closer together. If you don't use your authority over your daughter, and set high standard for her, if you don't act to protect her and if you don't live a life based on moral principles, your daughter will suffer.  You are after all her role model and how you choice to live your life, is how she will lead hers.

Daughter boasts about their Dads. How their Dad's play a very important part in their lives. Daughter adores or hates their fathers, sometimes at the same time. Your daughter needs your love throughout her life time; don't let your daughter down.

Woman do really need men in their lives!!

Contrary to my previous blog, do we need men? yes we do!!  If man was to disappear from earth, women would do remarkable well without having a male in their lives.  In many instances the woman has to do without a male, in any case.  In the case of divorce; being unmarried with children, and being a widow.

Women have a love-hate relationship with their single status. They love the freedom, flirting and no-strings-attached life that comes with flying solo, but they dislike the absence of the comfort, constancy and companionship of the other half.

Men, generally speaking, tend to look for a mate to satisfy a sexual and an emotional need. Women have less urgency in getting these particular needs met from a man; Of course women want and need it also. Women's selection priorities are more to do with the male partner's ability to physically provide and protect her and their children.

Poems , Women vs Men:
Generally, men’s needs have not changed, and men seem just as dependent upon women for sex and emotional nourishment as ever. But these days women don’t have as much need for protection and provision

Given that women generally can support themselves in our modern society, why exactly do they need men?

Men and women are just as desperate, confused, lonely and needy as each other.  Women and men need each other equally. However, women need not show how much they need men.  Women need to know how much they are needed by the men, and the men must let them know that they need them in their time of need.

Love - we need the love that comes from a man. Our father figures had a large role to play in this; we usually look for a man who is very similar to our own father. With the love of a man we can conquer anything. A man makes us feel safe, powerful and wanted, amongst many other things. Love is everything

Protect - We need men to protect us from the evil beings out in the world as well as the unknown we can't see, but, men can. We need them to be our eyes and ears when we are naive to experiences.
Provide- Men are natural providers and regardless of how much money a woman makes, where you may fail, man is more than willing to provide. It would be his pleasure. There are some tasks that women just cannot do without a man. Let him provide.

Love-Making - Using a vibrator or the hand will never make a woman feel like a man can.  The touch of his hands, the feel of his body.  To hear him breath and feel his heartbeat. Sex between two people that really love each other is something so wonderful, sex will only get better with time, as each partners learns the likes and dislikes of each other.

Companionship - Having tons of friends is never the same thing as having your man, who is your best friend in the world also.  You one you can watch movies, play cards, read, exercise, cook, wash dishes or just simply hold hands and look at the beautiful sunset together. Treasuring the silence and knowing he is always there for you and of cause ....... you are always there for him too.

Confidant - We confide in our man only and we trust only him.  All our deepest emotions we share with him. He is the only one we are intimate with, and he is compassionate and understanding. Our man will be our confidant and he will never use it as ammunition to hurt us.

Guidance/ Leadership - Where one is strong the other can be weak; our man can be strong when we are weak.  When our man is weak, we will be strong for him.  We will have each other’s back.  We need guidance in our lives ....Our man will be there to provide this. Were ever our man leads, we shall follow!

Emotional Stability - Women are extremely emotional and more than often their decisions are driven by emotions and that can lead to making bad decisions. Men are not driven by emotions, more so, logic and rationale. They will assist us in maintaining our balance and behaving more rational.

Pro-Creation - We all know women can adopt or have the procedure called In Vitro Fertilization, but guess what, surrounding those situations is a man. We need men to impregnate or donate sperm if you will, so that we can bare off-springs, and leave our legacy behind.

Completion - Women don't need men to complete them, although they may be financially well off, mentally stable, or spiritually connected, women need men to connect the last chain. Women need men to complement their completeness.  Women are single and alone until man compliments their completeness. Compliments her in her cycle of life, birth, child, teen, woman, spiritual soul mate, marriage or just a lifetime together.... Many women are spiritually complete without a man, but what better way to share the wholeness other than with the man you love and deserve to have.

My father and mother had a wonderful relationship, I only wish that I am that lucky that one day I will have what they had.  Many of the family values are disappearing, but many still hold on to them.

When a Woman Loves a Man

David Lehman, 1948

When she says margarita she means daiquiri.
When she says quixotic she means mercurial.
And when she says, “I’ll never speak to you again,"
she means, “Put your arms around me from behind
as I stand disconsolate at the window.”

He’s supposed to know that.

When a man loves a woman he is in New York and she is in
     Virginia
or he is in Boston, writing, and she is in New York, reading,
or she is wearing a sweater and sunglasses in Balboa Park and he
     is raking leaves in Ithaca
or he is driving to East Hampton and she is standing disconsolate
at the window overlooking the bay
where a regatta of many-colored sails is going on
while he is stuck in traffic on the Long Island Expressway.

When a woman loves a man it is one ten in the morning
she is asleep he is watching the ball scores and eating pretzels
drinking lemonade
and two hours later he wakes up and staggers into bed
where she remains asleep and very warm.

When she says tomorrow she means in three or four weeks.
When she says, “We’re talking about me now,"
he stops talking. Her best friend comes over and says,
“Did somebody die?”

When a woman loves a man, they have gone
to swim naked in the stream
on a glorious July day
with the sound of the waterfall like a chuckle
of water rushing over smooth rocks,
and there is nothing alien in the universe.

Ripe apples fall about them.
What else can they do but eat?

When he says, “Ours is a transitional era,"
“that’s very original of you," she replies,
dry as the martini he is sipping.

They fight all the time
It’s fun
What do I owe you?
Let’s start with an apology
Ok, I’m sorry, you dickhead.
A sign is held up saying “Laughter.”
It’s a silent picture.
“I’ve been fucked without a kiss," she says,
“and you can quote me on that,"
which sounds great in an English accent.

One year they broke up seven times and threatened to do it
     another nine times.

When a woman loves a man, she wants him to meet her at the
airport in a foreign country with a jeep.
When a man loves a woman he’s there. He doesn’t complain that
     she’s two hours late
and there’s nothing in the refrigerator.

When a woman loves a man, she wants to stay awake.
She’s like a child crying
at nightfall because she didn’t want the day to end.

When a man loves a woman, he watches her sleep, thinking:
as midnight to the moon is sleep to the beloved.
A thousand fireflies wink at him.
The frogs sound like the string section
of the orchestra warming up.
The stars dangle down like earrings the shape of grapes.
