57. Finish a marathon or an ironman triathlon

These things above sound like goals one would make for oneself.  Yes goals are very important to have.  Nothing like success to make feel one very good inside.  That sense of achievement!!!

Yes extremely sad, it makes me want to cry, that nobody out there puts the needs of others before themselves, it’s so ,so… ultimately that is what we need the most, to have that "special one". To put that person always before ourselves, yes that person would have to do that also. It’s not a one way stream. It applies to our family and friends also. Wanting what makes them the happiest, to see them succeed in their dreams, to have the people we love being happy and being loved!!!!

Yes, everyone wants a well-paying job and financial independence. What they are not prepared is to put in the hours that merit such a well-paying job. People want to be rich without the sacrifices. Yes some people want to start their own business, but that too takes a lot of sacrifices, working long hours, and a lot of self-doubt will ensure, thinking that you are a failure. Success does not happen overnight, it takes a lot of risk taking. Most people are not prepared to do this.

Yes, everyone wants fantastic relationship and great sex, but many don’t want to put the work in that relationship, that is needed. There are going to be bad times, when both parties don’t agree, there are going to be times that there are tough conversation, the painful silence, the hurt feelings, the inability to communicate. Communication is so essential in a relationship. Give and take, put up with the other partner’s bad moods. Always listen to your partner, it’s important. It’s not only what you want and need in this joint relationship, it’s got very much too do what the other partner needs or wants. Compromises have to be all the time.  Risk taking is very high in this department!!!

Yes, everyone wants an amazing body, but many don’t want to put the time in, going to gym regularly, or just exercising at home, eating health foods and not the fast food they shuff down their throats regularly.

People want things in life, but never are prepared to pay the cost for those things. It’s not a question of “You’ve just got to want it enough!” It’s got to do with how much you need it and what sacrifices are you prepared to go through for it all. There is a good chance they you don’t want it; you just like the idea of wanting it.

A more interesting question, a question that perhaps you’ve never considered before, is what pain do you want in your life? What are you willing to struggle for? Because that seems to be a greater determinant of how our lives turn out.

If you are not prepared to do the sacrifices, put in long hours, put in the emotional risk factor, too scared to be hurt again in a relationship. Bailing out the first opportunity you get when things are not going your way in a relationship. I have never known pain to be any less painful, in relationship to how long a relationship survived. It hurt so much and each time, it chips away at my very soul.

No pain no gain #quotes

If you not prepared to fight for the things you want to keep, not prepared to be hurt time over and over again. Then I feel very sorry for you. Once you have won one of these fights, it gives life a whole different meaning. I cannot tell you how this feels; you need to be the one to discover this yourself.

“Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty… I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.”

Theodore Roosevelt

For most of us we already have what we need, but with the every day pressures of life, we forget to count our blessings.

Scams - Romance and Dating Sites Part 2

Scams - Romance and Dating Sites Part 2
I have had people try and scam me, on a very personal level.  They say that scammers are very clever, but in fact they are very stupid.  They select their targets very carefully when they pull a scam.

They have tried many different scams on me.  They use the fact that I am single and alone, that I am lonely and crave love so badly. They strike up a relationship and their words soon turn to words of love.  For a desperate woman, this is all her dreams come true.  For me, I never believed a single word that was ever written.  Oh, the words of love, so passionate and enduring, one would think they should become writers instead of scammers!

I met this man on a dating site, he told me he was a business man and that he was away a lot and was hardly ever on this dating site and he suggest we exchange email addresses.

When I looked for him on this dating I site, I could not find him.  He had disappeared.  I never thought much of it.

He even gave me a cell phone number, and the dialling code was for the UK, again I never thought anything of this.

We even exchanged phone calls in the beginning.
He started sending emails on regular bases.  The relationship on his side moved very fast.  He was soon telling me how much he loves and misses me.

He even gave me a cell phone number, and the dialling code was for the UK, again I never thought anything of this.

I noticed in his emails that there were a lot of spelling mistakes and often he got my name wrong.  I replied to his emails and after a while I started to ignore his emails.  After a while I emailed him again and he just continues like nothing has even happened. He never got upset that I had been ignoring him!

The writer then continued in the same vain, words of love, how much he is missing me, how much he loves me and that he was in Italy and that he wanted me to send my physical address to him and he will send a small gift, a token of his love.  I did not use my own physical address, but the address where I work.

He sent me another email, with the tracking number and the website address. I went to the website address that he provided me, but something was off.  The website looked very professional but something nagged at the back on mind.  I looked for contact details and I did not found any contact details.  Strange?  Also another thing the parcel was despatched very fast plus the status kept the same and never change.  I went to my boss with this; he is very familiar with scamming as his father in law was being scammed.  My boss showed me how to find the original web page that they had copied.  He went to that web page and underlined whole paragraphs and then went to Google and pasted it into the search engine.  Not long, he had found the real web page.

Once must be able to recognise a fake web page.

One of the first signs that something may be wrong with a website is an incorrect address. Always check the address bar and verify that all is as it should be.

The correct URL for Lloyds TSB is http://www.lloydstsb.com

The example above is a fake website

The next day I got a call from a black man, saying that my parcel had arrived and that I had to pay 5 thousands rand to get it released from customs, he said that he had sent an email with the banking details.
It’s virtually impossible for a package to arrive within 24 hours from the UK, they is much delays as the package makes it way from one depot to another before arriving at the airport.

In this package he had included money, in dollars, notebook and a few other things.  So it was claimed.  I know how customs work in this country and it does not work like that.

They would send an invoice from customs and payment would be done at the local post office, if a courier service was used, the courier company would get hold of me and send me an invoice, outlining the amount I need to pay and when delivery would be made on receipt of my payment.  All very official.
I knew I was being scammed, but how many others have fallen for this scam?

Another scam, I struck up with a conversation with this man, also from the same dating site.  He claimed that he was from West Africa.  We started to talk in Yahoo.  He said that he like me very much and would love to meet me soon.   He said he was prepared to fly all that way to come and visit me.  He wanted me to pay for half of his airfare.

I told him, sorry I don’t have the money to pay half of your airfare, but he persisted and was adamant that he had already had booked the tickets and he said he would send an email that he had received.

I received the email from South African Airways, with what appeared to be bookings that he had made.  It was a confirmation giving details on his departure.  I had already done some research on how much the airfare would cost, and the amount there was very high.  I did not take it as its face value and clicked on the link on the email. This link took me to a quotation page, on the South African Airways webpage.

This man had not booked his flight; instead he had edited the quotation that South African Airways had sent him, editing the price of ticket as well.

I looked it up on the internet, surprise, its a very common practice of scammers.

Fake Airline Confirmation Message

Just an example.

The Internet, a wealth of information, there are programs that can generate fake airline tickets.

Scams - Romance and Dating Sites

Scams - Romance and Dating Sites

Scammers take advantage of people looking for romantic partners, often via dating websites, apps or social media by pretending to be respective companions. They play on emotional triggers to get you to provide money, gifts or personal details.

They have even been known to telephone their victims as a first introduction. These scams are also known as ‘cat fishing’.

Scammers typically create fake online profiles designed to lure you in. They may use a fictional name, or falsely take on the identities of real, trusted people such as military personnel, aid workers or professionals working abroad.

Their profile on the internet dating website or their Facebook page is not consistent with what they tell you. For example, their profile picture looks different to their description of themselves, or they say they are university educated but their English is poor.

Dating and romance scammers will express strong emotions for you in a relatively short period of time, and will suggest you move the relationship away from the website to a more private channel, such as phone, email or instant messaging.

They often claim to be from a western country or another country, but they are travelling or working overseas.

Scammers will go to great lengths to gain your interest and trust, such as showering you with loving words, sharing ‘personal information’ and even sending you gifts. They may take months to build what may feel like the romance of a lifetime and may even pretend to book flights to visit you, but never actually come.

Once they have gained your trust and your defences are down, they will ask you (either subtly or directly) for money, gifts or you’re banking/credit card details. They may also ask you to send pictures or videos of yourself, possibly of an intimate nature.

Often the scammer will pretend to need the money for some sort of personal emergency. For example, they may claim to have a severely ill family member who requires immediate medical attention such as an expensive operation, or they may claim financial hardship due to an unfortunate run of bad luck such as a failed business or mugging in the street.  The scammer may also claim they want to travel to visit you, but cannot afford it unless you are able to lend them money to cover flights or other travel expenses.

Sometimes the scammer will send you valuable items such as laptop computers and mobile phones, and ask you to resend them somewhere. They will invent some reason why they need you to send the goods but this is just a way for them to cover up their criminal activity.  Alternatively they may ask you to buy the goods yourself and send them somewhere. You might even be asked to accept money into your bank account and then transfer it to someone else.

Warning - the above scenarios are very likely to be forms of money laundering which is a criminal offence. Never agree to transfer money for someone else.  Sometimes the scammer will tell you about a large amount of money or gold they need to transfer out of their country, and offer you a share of it. They will tell you they need your money to cover administrative fees or taxes.

Dating and romance scammers can also pose a risk to your personal safety as they are often part of international criminal networks. Scammers may attempt to lure their victims overseas, putting you in dangerous situations that can have tragic consequences.

Regardless of how you are scammed, you could end up losing a lot of money.  Online dating and romance scams cheat many out of millions every year.

The money you send to scammers is almost always impossible to recover and, in addition, you may feel long-lasting emotional betrayal at the hands of someone you thought loved you.

After gaining your trust – often waiting weeks, months or even years – they tell you an elaborate story and ask for money, gifts or your bank account/credit card details.

If you don’t send money straight away, their messages and calls become more   desperate, persistent or direct. If you do send money, they continue to ask you to send more.

They don’t keep their promises and always have an excuse for why they can't travel to meet you and why they always need more money.

Always consider the possibility that the approach may be a scam, particularly if the warning signs listed above appear. Try to remove the emotion from your decision making no matter how caring or persistent the ‘prospective partner’ is.

Do an image search of your admirer to help determine if they really are who they say they are? You can use image search services such as Google or TinEye.

Be alert to things like spelling and grammar mistakes, inconsistencies in   their stories and others signs that it’s a scam like their camera never working if you want to Skype each other.

Be cautious when sharing personal pictures or videos with prospective partners, especially if you have never met them before. Scammers are known to blackmail their targets using compromising material.

If you agree to meet a prospective partner in person, tell family and friends where you are going. It's strongly recommends you do not travel overseas to meet someone you have never met before. Be wary of requests for money. Never send money or give credit card details, online account details, or copies of important personal documents to anyone you don’t know or trust.

Avoid any arrangement with a stranger that asks for up-front payment via money order, wire transfer, international funds transfer, pre-loaded card or electronic currency. It is rare to recover money sent this way.

Do not agree to transfer money for someone else: money laundering is a criminal offence.

Be very careful about how much personal information you share on social network sites. Scammers can use your information and pictures to create a fake identity or to target you with a scam.

If you think you have been scammed, report it to the website, app, or social media site where the scammer first approached you. Let them know the scammer’s profile name and any other details that may help them to stop others being scammed.

If you think you have provided your account details to a scammer, contact your bank or financial institution immediately.

Please report scams, every country would have a web page for this.  This will helps so that others can be warned about current scams, monitor trends and disrupt scams where possible.

Spread the word to your friends and family to protect them.

Victims of Scams

Victims of Scams

The world is full of scammers.  We see so many every day.  It would be nice to believe our luck has turned, “if it’s too good to be true, then it’s usually not true.”  So many different types of scams, they end up taking everything from one.  Why is that, is it a type of mind control?  They target people that don't have normal emotional lives.  They target people that are insecure and need more from life.  Suicide seems the only alternative left for some of these people that have lost everything.  Leaving their families to find them, leaving their families to try and make sense on what has happened.

"If you play with fire, you're going to get burned"

Don’t trust blindly, do some investigating of your own.  Nobody gives anything away for nothing, there is usually a catch.

There are many people that become victims on scams.  Scamming does affect one on a deep mental level.  Scammer takes our ability to trust away.

Victims spend years trying to recover from these crimes.  They describe their victimization as a “psychological mugging” or “like being raped” and often experience the same loss of trust issues that victims of sexual assault experience.

Victims lose faith in the world and the system that was supposed to protect them for even if the perpetrators are caught and ordered to pay restitution,   many offenders use any means necessary to avoid paying, often liquidating   their assets and hiding them out of reach or declaring bankruptcy.

Victims (lose confidence in themselves and others for they) are left with no closure, a reality that generally impedes their financial and psychological.

Victims seemed to have lost their ability to discern, or had lost their ability to trust their discernment, regarding whom they could trust and who they couldn’t. So, they trusted no one which made it difficult to help them or get them to help themselves.

In addition to financial losses, the victims feel robbed of not only of their money, but also their security, their self-esteem and their dignity.

Many victims never come forth; a lot of victims do not come forward, they hide out of shame, guilt, embarrassment, and lack of trust and continue to suffer in silence.

Scams causes other emotional effects in their victims, they experience the following.
Guilt, self-blame, shame, depression, sense of violation, isolation (suffering in silence),
social stigma (victim-blaming)

Dealing with being a victim

If you have been a victim of scams, know it takes time to heal. Be gentle with yourself.

If you know someone who has been a victim of scams, be understanding. Share this information to let them know they are not alone, that their feelings are normal.

Let them know, if they are persistent enough, they can often get the perpetrators indicted and sentenced. This helps restore some feeling of control and self-esteem.

It is important for the scam victim to keep moving forward. While this is difficult, staying stuck in the victim further destroys self-esteem and the ability to recover.

dreams come true or do they?

Dreams come true or do they?
thinking back on my childhood
did I have dreams?
were they realistic?
what were my dreams?
where did I loose them?
On thinking now, I think my dream was to have a job, do the work I had found a liking for and meet that special man, fall in love, get married and have several children
That did not happen, I fall in love, yes
but with a married man
I fall pregnant and gave birth to a daughter
My first born, I loved her from the very start
Her father wanted me to have an abortion
That was out of the question
It was not even a choice
I raised our daughter without him,
at times it was so very difficult

over 6 years had past
then something happened that changed my life for ever
going into town,my daughter was with me, we were involved in a car accident, it involved a truck, two people were killed that day, a mother and child, they were innocent people walking on the side of the road
today this still haunts me....

The father of my child, came back into my life, we started seeing each other again, you see I still loved him after all this time. There had not been any other man, all that time
I fall pregnant with my second daughter, I also loved her from the very start
I was older then, more settled. this was my secret and I never told anybody until I really had too
The father never asked me to have an abortion this time

Again I was left to raise our children alone
They are now adults, they have been my blessings from God, I can't tell you how proud I am of both of them. They are both beautiful and achievers. My eldest daughter is married, with two beautiful children of her own
My youngest daughter has just completed university, she passed with cum laude, no easy task, she was the only one from her class to get this achievement!!

My dreams are pretty much the same, to have a man too love me, too hold me, to defend me and keep me safe, perhaps I would even travel across the earth to found him?

But is this the dream that I really want now?

No, I have other dreams now that seem to make me cry from my soul, I miss my eldest daughter so very much and my grandchildren and my son in law, its like a very big part of me is missing!!

If my original dreams are meant to be, one day they will, but for now I will cherish what I have!!
I have a job with a boss that I respect and like
I have my two daughters whom I love very much
I have my sisters, I love them
I have my grandchildren
I have my nieces and nephews
I have my animals, cats and a dog
the cat is a very good companion, when I am at home, she is always with me

then there is someone else, I have to share everything with him, good or bad
thank you honey for putting up with my tantrums and bad moods, thank you for always being there for me, I love you!!

Dreams don't have to come true, just remember to keep your dreams alive, they give us hope and keep us focus, at the same time always cherish what you got now!!

Growing Old With You

by Karl Wild GG23

It all began about 60 years ago,
On a very special summers day,
 For two unexpected teenage kids,
Love was about to come their way.
Boy meets girl, things move quick,
Nobody gave their love a chance,
It's been seen a million times before,
 Just another hopeless young romance.
But for this couple it was different,
Since day one it was meant to be,
It was that forever fairytale happiness,
The kind you can only see on T.V.
One day she looked at him and asked,
"What is it with your life you'd like to do?"
He gently kissed her forehead and said,
"Sweetheart, I dream to grow old with you"
Smiling because they were so in love,
Suddenly he got down on one knee,
Pulled out a beautiful diamond ring,
And asked "Princess, will you marry me?"
Tears falling from her big brown eyes,
It was a yes as she nodded her head,
And just seven short months later,
These two teenage kids were wed.
They bought a house and settled down,
Got pregnant and gave birth to a little girl,
How is it at just twenty-three years old,
They could have everything in the world.
For fifty years their lives were perfect,
As grandchildren grew the love did too,
But with a simple trip to the doctor,
The future suddenly held a different view.
He was diagnosed with bone cancer,
The doctors didn't give him very long,
He fought with everything he had left,
But at eighty, he wasn't very strong.
As he lay in a hospital bed about to die,
Hand in hand with his best friend and wife,
He said "I want you to know since Nineteen,
You've been my everything, my whole life"
With tears falling from her big brown eyes,
She asked "did all of your dreams come true?"
He kissed her forehead and with his final breath,
Said "Of course princess, I grew old with you"

Black and White Magic Part 2

White Magic - Pure Magic

White magic or light magic has traditionally referred to the use of supernatural powers or magic for good and selfless purposes. With respect to the phi left-hand and right-hand path, white magic is the benevolent counterpart of malicious black magic. Because of its ties to traditional pagan nature worship, white magic is often also referred to as "natural magic".

White magic is believed to encompass spells like healing spells, luck spells or protective spells to name a few. Such spells are cast and used with a clean and a pure intention of doing well.

Those who practice white magic are witches, priests, priestess, or shamans. White witches often use amulets or talismans when casting magic spells and that is why, the talismans and amulets are often associated with good luck or good fortune.

The witch or caster is people with high ethics and morals, because they use their powers and abilities towards the good, unlike those who resort to dark magic to cause destruction and harm. They are often associated with people that do black magic, and this is wrong. Because the majority of practitioners use magic for good and have only good and peaceful intentions. It is about time that the notion towards Wiccans and other white magic practitioners changes.

Many believe that it is white magic that is making the world go round and it is white magic that always sustains. How else would you explain the miraculous and almost surreal Godly events that practitioners and witches make happen? What you believe is finally up to you.

White is the symbol of purity which is what white magic is all about. This form of magic is performed solely with good intentions by creating positive energies.

By sending out positive energies you will also receive a positive outcome. While magic spells can be used with great success as they are all a good, pure, and helpful form of magic. No evil or negative thoughts and intentions are involved in white magic. What White Magic Spells Can Do for You White magic involves your inner beliefs and wishes that can bring about a positive change to everyone involved. For examples, love spells can be used to attract a person to you without any harmful intentions. White magic spells involve rituals with simple tools such as candles, flowers, herbs, incense, and pen and paper. The use of these tools is to unleash your energy and power and release it into the world around. What you ‘release’ are your intentions and thoughts which can often change into reality. It is essential to be focused on your desires when casting love spells or any other white magic spells. Selecting the Right White Magic Spell Before casting white magic spells it is prudent to choose an aspect of your life that needs improvement such as your job, love life, health, or any other area.

You will then need to find a spell that suitable to your needs. If you want a new lover or to rekindle an old relationship you will need to use love spells. Once you find a spell you need to make preparations for casting the spell and follow the instructions if you are doing it on your own. The objective is to be fully committed to the spell, tune in to the energy and powers, and visualize the outcome that you desire. No one can expect overnight results, especially after casting the first couple of white magic spells. However, with practice, these spells have the ability to soon bring about positive changes and better opportunities in your life. It is essential to obtain white magic spells from someone who understands the principles and the power of white magic.

The Types of White Magic Spells There are different types of white magic spells including love spells, money spells, healing spells, and fertility spells. White magic has the power to protect against any curses by those who misuse black magic. White Magic Love Spells Love spells are the most popular magic spells that can also be used as protection in order to prevent divorce or separation.

There are different love spells to deal with specific situations including lust and anti-lying spells. Return a Lost Lover Break-up Spells Attraction Love Spells True Love Spells Commitment Spells Remove Problems

Lust Spells All Love Spells White Magic Money Spells Money spells are another popular form of white magic used in a positive way to draw money towards the spell caster. These spells are ideal for those with genuine financial problems and also have the potential to help a person manage and organize their finances better. Like love spells, there are specific spells used for different purposes.

White magic is derived from a man by the name of Magus, who was a Zoroastrian astrologer. He coined the word “magic” that became a part of the English language in the fourteenth century. The word sorcery also came to the English language around the same time and the term white magic sorcerer came to be used in the English language in 1526 CE. Belief in white magic has come and gone throughout history, depending on the amount of pressure people felt from organized religion in Europe and in the US. The Magi and White Magic

Practitioners in History Traditionally, white magic practitioners involved a class of priests, called the Magi of Zoroastrianism. The Magi were held in high esteem by the populace and they helped to shape the Hellenistic religion. Both the Greeks and the Egyptians had strong beliefs in white magic. Throughout history, there has been the belief surrounding the use of the magic circle, the use of wands and the use of other tools used in white magic.

White magic has passed down throughout the generations so that the white magic you see today is not much different from the white magic used in the ancient cultures. Those who practice white magic do it to help people and do it for benevolent purposes. They call on benevolent deities and use spells that are not intended to hurt people. Real white magic spells are used to protect a person, bless a person or thing, sanctify something, perform healings on a person, and to get into the realm of love, luck and money.

White magic spells can be simple or complex and can involve performing hexes and curses on people in order to repel a black magic curse. White magic spells are always designed to be defensive in nature and do not ever intend to harm someone or to put someone or something at risk.

White magic is intended to be used in Wicca, neo-Pagan, pagan and witchcraft rituals, and have been throughout history. Magic can be used for the benefit of all, a tradition which has been followed for centuries. While most white witches will tell you that magic has no colour, we have both black magic and white magic at our disposal today. Hold me in your arms

Hold Me In Your Arms
by CalGirl

Hold me in your arms, your large, sturdy hands,
there's no other feeling like the one you get,
when you're held by your one true man.
 Look me in the eyes,
 look deep inside,
and you'll see that they're all teary,
from staring at you so wide.
 Reach for my hands,
 with your strong callous fingers.
 Already, my vision gets hazy,
 my speech slurs and lingers.
 It's impossible to think straight,
when you talk to me like that.
I can hear you out for hours, need be,
I'll do anything do start a chat.
You are so perfect, I am not,
and yet I love you so.
 It seems I cannot control,
 my heart is unstoppable flow
